Associations move more Aggressively into Education

ALISO VIEJO, CA, November 2, 2006“It looks like a growing trend,” said Thomas M. Mitchell, SVP for RealtyU Group, the largest network of real estate schools in the country.  “We are receiving continual requests to help REALTOR®  Associations across the U.S. expand their educational portfolio and offer a wider selection of educational products, services, and courses,” added Mitchell.  For example, the 8,500 member Seattle-King County Association of REALTORS®  (SKCAR),  just joined the RealtyU® Network, saying: “We recently discovered the tremendous array of career enhancing resources,” said Claudia Crowell, Interim Chief Executive Officer & Director of Business Practices. “RealtyU® was just what we were looking for, now we can offer it to all to our members,” she added.

SKCAR was founded in 1908, and is a nonprofit professional trade organization whose members are licensed real estate professionals.  The association is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington and is governed by an elected board of directors.  As one of approximately 1,600 state, regional and local associations, SKCAR seeks to advance the professionalism and reputation of its members by effecting and promoting policies that preserve and expand real property rights and housing affordability.   “We also provide programs and educational services that enhance our members’ ability to conduct their business successfully and with integrity and competency,” remarked Crowell.

According to Mitchell, RealtyU® offers the largest portfolio of career enhancing services and products such as business planning classes, software for agents, managers and brokers, mentoring for rookie agents, experienced agents and managers, extensive research and industry reports, and of course hundreds and hundreds of appropriate courses.

One of the most sought after designations currently offered by RealtyU® to its network of schools and associations is the ASR® designation (Accredited Seller Representative). This course rounds out the portfolio of agency courses with ABR® being hugely popular the last decade.  To schedule an appointment to have the ASR® Seller's Agent Designation course taught in your area, or to learn more about other professional real estate career education services from RealtyU® Schools, contact Thomas M.
