| ALISO VIEJO, CA., Aug. 10, 2005 - In just 10
years Fortune Academy has grown from one administrator, one
instructor and one location to six administrators, 70 instructors
and 15 locations. This remarkable achievement is the credited
to the vision and drive of one Southern Carolina man and RealtyU®'s
selection of its Educator of the Quarter.
Every quarter RealtyU® honors a special person or school
that has gone beyond the call of teaching and or made an impact
to their region. This award acknowledges the individual that
provides excellent service, a willingness to share and help
others and has made RealtyU® proud of their affiliation
with the RealtyU® family of Schools. For the 3rd Quarter
of 2005 RealtyU® has awarded this honor to Harold Swanner,
the owner and Chairman of Fortune Academy in Myrtle Beach,
South Carolina.
Swanner, a successful real estate agent since 1981 with
over 15 years of experience as a successful broker and commercial
real estate agent, bought the school in 1995 when they had
only three courses. Today over 300 different courses are being
taught by some 70 instructors in 15 different locations across
the entire state. Harold saw the value of RealtyU® early
in his education and training career and became a RealtyU®
Affiliate in June 1997. Shortly thereafter Fortune also became
the first school in South Carolina to be accredited by the
Council on Certification and Accreditation (COCA).
According to Swanner, "Our goal is to maintain and
continually develop a strong, profitable organization that
leads the marketplace in continuing education and professional
development programs. Fortune Academy is focused on fostering
an environment in which it can attract and retain quality
professionals who come together to combine their talents and
abilities to provide students the highest levels of professionalism
and integrity."
Fortune has consistently been recognized as a premier real
estate school for consistently demonstrating superior performance
in course content and delivery, providing total consumer satisfaction.
This is the direct result of the fact that the Academy's vision
directly mirrors the philosophy of its Chairman. According
to Swanner, "if something has been good to you, you need
to give back to the community; the best thing to give back
is what you have the best knowledge about."
"With that positive can-do attitude and commitment,”
says Stefan Swanepoel, CEO of RealtyU®, “it is not
hard to understand why RealtyU® is proud to have Harold
and his team as part of the RealtyU® family or why we
are honored to recognize Fortune Academy this month as our
Educator of the Quarter. They are a leading real estate school
in South Carolina, and are and example to everyone what can
be done.”
