Looks Ahead to Help its Members
ALISO VIEJO, CA, January 29, 2007 – Bay East Association of REALTORS and the RealtyU® Group of Companies today announced that Bay East has joined the RealtyU School Network. The Bay East Association of REALTORS® is a professional trade association serving more than 6,000 real estate professionals throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. The Association strives to develop and promote programs and services that enhance the members’ ability to successfully conduct their individual businesses with integrity and competency, pursuant to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. This goal, among others, was a primary reason for their becoming an active Affiliate in the RealtyU® Education Network.
According to Chuck Edell, 2007 President of Bay East Association of REALTORS®, “RealtyU® offers a broad range of real estate courses and tools to assist our members in enhancing their individual careers. This strategic venture broadens the professional development opportunities that our Education Department can now offer.”
RealtyU and Bay East will be working together over the next few months to fully integrate Bay East into the Education Network with access to all of the services provided by the RealtyU® Group including online and classroom courses in licensing, continuing education, designations, appraisal and home inspection as well as online mentoring, business planning, skills based classes and more.
Founded in 1995, the RealtyU® Group and has grown to become the largest and most diversified career development and education provider in the United States for real estate brokers and agents. The RealtyU School network has over 200 campuses across the country, operates over 30 different online education services and owns or manages hundreds of real estate courses, products and services. Annually the RealtyU® Group educates over 300,000 real estate agents in classroom settings and over 30,000 online.
According to Thomas M. Mitchell, SVP for RealtyU®, “We are very excited to welcome Bay East Association of REALTORS® into the RealtyU® family. We are a closely knit network of schools and associations all across the country, collectively striving to achieve the same goal – improving the skill level of brokers and agents and the overall improvement of the level of professionalism and projected image of our industry,” said Mitchell.
That commitment is validated in the fact that RealtyU® Real Estate School owners are leaders in both REALTOR® and education circles having held or currently hold leadership positions in local, state and national REALTOR® Associations across the nation. Seven have served as National President of the Real Estate Educators Association (REEA), six have been inducted into the NAR’s REBAC Hall of Fame, while many others have authored books and/or completed advanced studies and hold Masters and/or Doctorate.
