A former Navy pilot, a commercial then private corporate jet pilot, downsized over and over again until soon he found himself unemployed, living in an apartment on credit cards, and $60,000 in debt, this former pilot found himself flying upside down and backwards in the fog. With so much debt and adversity hanging over his head, it’s surprising that Mejia chose to make the decision to completely change careers and tackle a strictly commission based enterprise, but that’s exactly what he did. No. In fact, not only was John Mejia a brand new rookie with no experience, he was also a New Yorker starting his real estate career in the unlikely locale of Alabama, with no sphere to speak of except his church family, with whom he was in the process of meeting, one person at a time. With sheer dedication and determination, John doggedly pursued his dream of success, and slowly but surely built his business with systems, hard work, and commitment.
